Some alternative anxiety medications have also been developed like relaxation therapy which is as effective as medicines or pills. It involves diverting the attention of the patient towards something else which calms down the body like chanting of some prayers or counting backwards. Aromatherapy is also used as an alternative method to treat anxiety. Herbs like basil, juniper, lavender and rose have soothing fragrance which reduces the anxiety.
